    Yea, its the # test. I fish 18# with a 15# leader, primarily on Erie but get in a few LO trips a year. It serves me well and I can only think of 2 breakoffs in the last decade. And those break offs were my fault.

    Yea, pretty much. Just adults making adult decisions. Considering that the guy in your example BUILT the house...he must've been more than OK with the taxes that you're complaining about on his behalf. FWIW, I'm sure the property taxes affected the value of the property he purchased. Either way, this conversation is purely political so I'm stepping out.

    Yeah, I'm assuming they knew what their tax bill was going to be when they purchased the property. It sounds like they decided that they could afford it. No one made them purchase that property.

    Im still waiting for your take on the tax cuts for the top 1%...since you're so focused on the debt, I'd think you've considered that in your stance.

    If addressing the debt is the whole point of their actions, then what's your rationale for the proposed $1.24 trillion dollar in tax cuts (over the next decade) for the top 1% of earners? Cutting expenses while intentionally cutting revenue is a mixed message, if addressing the debt is what these shysters are trying to do....

    This has nothing to do with addressing the national debt. If it did, these moves wouldn't be coupled with tax breaks for people who clearly don't need them. This is a dismantling of what our 'government' was, in order for it to be remade into something that suits the ultra rich and powerful. Their goal is to create chaos and then spin themselves as the saviors by addressing the problems they created. Who's them? Trump and his inner circle of lackeys. DOGE is a false flag operation on a national scale...and his MAGA crowd is falling for it.

    Buy old Penn 320s, 310s and 330s when you come across them on ebay or this site. You'll leave them to your grandkids and you can get them for a song a piece. Rods are not worth spending extra $$ on. My recommendation with them is to buy as many of whichever one you settle on. It doesn't matter as much for salmon, but when trolling leadcore, it's helpful to see all your board rods doing the same thing...at the same time. When one breaks cadence, even a little, that'll tip you off to a hangon.
